Launch of DXCluster.co.uk

Just under a week ago Paul (M0TZO) said that he’d found a domain available and I’d love it.. He wasn’t wrong either the domain in question was http://www.dxcluster.co.uk I’ve spent some time getting a prototype of the website up and running using a lot of the back-end code which was already in place on DXAnywhere.com.

The features for the site is open for comments either post them in the comments below or use the feedback tab on the site. I’ll be posting some more news in the feature about progress being made.

    Hi Marc,

Sadly DXCluster.co.uk doesn’t offer this nor does the other site I run DXAnywhere.. It could be something I could add in the coming weeks.

Not a bad bit of work, I’ve been looking at intigrating DX spots on my site. Does / could your code generate RSS output?

This is somthing that seems to be lacking at the moment, DX Spots by RSS would be great as we can have a widget on the desktop with the latest spots in!

Just a thought that may help give you the edge!

    All the best,

    Andy

Would using an html-to-rss converter do the job? There’s several around if you do a google search.

    cheers,

    Jon.

Unfortunately DXCluster.co.uk does not offer anything I am not already getting either via CC User, HRD or half a dozen web based sites. What would make this site cool is some custom filters so I can see only spots from UK stations or stations within a certain distance of my locator. For example nine times out of ten it means nothing to me that a station in Cuba is hearing a station in Antarctica.

    Hi Steve,
I’m aware that its pretty bog standard, custom filters are achievable 80% of the code is actually done and working on the DXAnywhere alerts system so could no doubt move that across, I’d find this feature rather worth while too!
